Ecosystem Technical Enabling Engineer (PCIe/CXL)

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned Intel site and off-site work.

Intel's Data Center Group develops and delivers Xeon server platforms and works with the IHV ecosystem to bring high-performance server technologies to market.

What you will do

• Lead technical engagement with IHV partners across GPUs, Ethernet adapters, PCIe and CXL switches, SSDs, retimers, and CXL memory controllers.
• Resolve technical issues that could block Xeon server design wins, including driving CCBs and customer support actions.
• Work directly with IHV engineers to test and debug IO devices on new Xeon server platforms.
• Collaborate with validation engineers and ecosystem partners to improve test coverage and resolve issues.
• Develop and execute proofs of concept, including Memory Pooling, to demonstrate emerging technology value.
• Enable ecosystem technologies based on emerging standards such as UALink.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with IO protocols, server architecture, firmware, driver stacks, and complex IO configurations.
• Hands-on functional testing experience with current and next-generation technologies, including PCIe 6/7 and CXL 3/4.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, validation results, and test results.
• Experience building durable relationships with partners, customers, and peers.
• Advanced English and unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico are required; employment-based visa or immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with protocol and network analyzers, Intel TEE-IO, Linux IO commands, and Intel SVOS.
• Experience translating customer and ecosystem requirements into functional requirements, POCs, CCBs, and validation test cases.
• Basic coding knowledge, especially Python.
• Experience working independently and sharing technical findings across organizational boundaries.
