Technical Program Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Build and run the cross-team planning cadence for recruiting technology, including roadmaps, dependencies, ownership, priorities, and status reporting.
• Drive high-priority technical programs from scoping and tradeoff decisions through delivery across teams without shared reporting lines.
• Lead integrations across third-party recruiting platforms, internal tooling, data systems, and analytics layers.
• Partner with engineering and AI teams to integrate Claude into recruiting workflows with appropriate controls and human-in-the-loop design.
• Connect recruiting roadmaps with company-wide headcount and workforce planning to support proactive hiring.
• Own cross-team build-versus-buy and vendor evaluations, governance, risk tracking, and escalation processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technical program management experience and a record of building cross-functional programs in ambiguous environments.
• Experience coordinating planning and execution across teams without shared reporting lines and influencing without authority.
• Technical depth in systems integration, APIs, SaaS data flows, and third-party tool configuration versus custom development.
• Experience with recruiting, people, or HR technology, including ATS, HRIS, scheduling, and analytics systems.
• Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with engineers, recruiters, analysts, and executives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience in recruiting operations, people analytics, or HR technology product management.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM-based tooling into operational workflows.
• Familiarity with headcount planning, workforce planning, or linking business roadmaps to hiring plans.
• Experience teaching partner teams how to work with technical program management.
