Application Specialist (Non Food)

Location: Brabrand, Denmark; the role includes customer engagements across EMEA and international travel of approximately 30–50 days per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical application support to customers across EMEA through remote collaboration and on-site engagements.
• Design, execute, evaluate, and document application trials, development projects, and customer demonstrations.
• Develop application concepts for Personal Care, Candle, and other Non Food applications using hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, and functional ingredient systems.
• Collaborate with Application, R&D, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, and Production teams.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and customer documentation.
• Deliver technical training, support research and innovation activities, and contribute to patent-related work and best-practice development.

Requirements

• M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Cosmetic Science, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant industry experience in Non Food applications.
• Strong knowledge of hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, functional ingredient systems, formulation science, and product functionality.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, pilot-scale trials, analytical techniques, and product development.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.
• Professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel internationally approximately 30–50 days per year.

Nice to have

• Experience in Personal Care and/or Candle application development.
• Deep expertise in Personal Care formulations and ingredient functionality.
• Experience in technical service, applications, or customer-facing product development.
• Commercial awareness and an innovative, proactive mindset.
