TL;DR
ICT Supervisor/Engineer (Mission Critical Data Center): Designing and coordinating ICT systems for a high-profile mission-critical data center construction project in Denmark with an accent on structured cabling, network infrastructure, room layouts, BIM coordination, and telecommunications standards. Focus on developing designs from concept through construction, coordinating stakeholders and contractors, commissioning ICT systems, and closing punch-list items before client handover.

What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate ICT designs for a mission-critical data center construction project.
  • Develop FEED, concept, basis-of-design, detailed design, specifications and contract documentation.
  • Design containment, copper and fibre cabling, racks, ICT rooms, wireless systems, LANs, VLANs, power, cooling, earthing and fire-stopping systems.
  • Coordinate ICT requirements in Revit and BIM360 models for modular data centers, MDFs and IDFs.
  • Support cost estimates, tender evaluations, bills of materials, ICT package bids and construction activities.
  • Develop commissioning processes, participate in factory and site acceptance testing, complete system walkdowns and close punch-list items before handover.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of formal ICT engineering design experience in mission-critical environments.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification is desirable.
  • Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership.
  • Strong knowledge of American and European telecommunications industry standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare specifications and contract documents.
  • Ability to support projects through the full lifecycle, including site visits, stakeholder coordination and mentoring junior engineers.

Nice to have

  • RCDD certification.
  • CNET certification, such as CDCDP or CNIDP.
  • Experience with Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD in a BIM environment.
