TL;DR

Platform Engineer (AI): Building foundational 0→1 infrastructure for an AI platform serving the home services industry with an accent on developer velocity, backend fundamentals, and distributed systems. Focus on designing core systems from scratch, solving challenging scalability problems, and taking significant ownership of platform infrastructure.

Location: New York City, United States; 5 days per week onsite

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year

What you will do

Build foundational platform infrastructure from 0→1.
Scale core systems for a growing AI product.
Improve developer velocity through reliable infrastructure.
Solve challenging distributed systems and backend problems.
Take significant ownership of foundational platform engineering.

Requirements

3+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
Proven experience building 0→1 infrastructure.
Strong distributed systems and backend fundamentals.
Experience in a high-caliber engineering environment, such as a startup, leading technology company, or quant firm.
Exceptional technical achievements are highly valued, including competitive programming, Olympiads, research, or open-source contributions.
