Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or New York City, United States

Base salary: $260,000–$300,000 per year, plus significant early-stage equity.

What you will do

• Design and operate sandboxed compute environments for Devin, including VM orchestration, container management, resource scheduling, and isolation at scale.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, developer tooling, and internal platform abstractions.
• Define SLOs and develop monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident-response systems.
• Plan capacity and architecture investments to keep infrastructure ahead of product growth.
• Partner with product engineers and researchers to design infrastructure for agentic workloads.

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed infrastructure.
• Hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including proficiency in Python and experience owning complex systems codebases.
• Experience with observability, dashboards, alerting, sandboxing, network isolation, and secure multi-tenant compute.
• Experience at a frontier AI lab, applied AI company, or developer tools company.
• BS, MS, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a highly selective program.
