Senior Solutions Engineer – Payments

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and implementation coverage across the US

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 base pay annually, plus potential equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own technical pre-sales for complex payment and financial product engagements involving enterprise partners, shopping carts, and payment gateways.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs, integration blueprints, and actionable implementation plans.
• Advise customers and internal teams on system configuration, APIs, third-party connectors, and integration architecture.
• Partner with sales, implementation, account management, product, engineering, and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Troubleshoot integration challenges and guide customers through complex configuration decisions without focusing on direct software development.
• Create documentation, playbooks, and lightweight tooling while channeling customer feedback into product and engineering roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales and complex, multi-stakeholder technology or financial services implementations.
• 8+ years of client-facing delivery or professional services experience in SaaS, fintech, consulting, systems integration, or enterprise implementation.
• Demonstrated success delivering cross-functional projects involving C-level executives, technical teams, and operations stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Experience with API-based payments integrations is preferred.
