Mobile Engineer - iOS (E-commerce)

Location: Hybrid role requiring attendance at least 3 days a week at GSIQ in Solihull, UK

What you will do

• Build, maintain, test, and ship customer-facing features for the iOS shopping app.
• Write production Swift using SwiftUI while supporting the existing UIKit codebase and migration.
• Work within a modular codebase using Clean Architecture and MVVM.
• Diagnose production issues using crash reporting and analytics, and resolve root causes.
• Consider performance, accessibility, app size, security, and third-party dependency risks.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Design, QA, and adjacent Android teams to refine and deliver incremental work.

Requirements

• Several years of experience writing Swift for production apps used by customers.
• Commercial SwiftUI work that is live in the App Store.
• Experience working in an established codebase alongside other engineers.
• Routine experience writing unit tests and creating test doubles.
• Experience resolving a production issue independently.
• Ability to participate in Agile delivery, communicate with non-technical stakeholders, and document technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer or large-scale e-commerce apps.
• Experience migrating UIKit applications to SwiftUI.
• Experience with feature flagging and experimentation in production.
• Kotlin or another second platform for collaboration with the Android team.
