Senior Software Engineer, iOS

Location: San Mateo, California, United States. Office-based roles require onsite presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Salary: $196,750–$243,290 USD per year base pay.

What you will do

• Shape and improve the Roblox iOS experience for millions of players.
• Lead architecture and implementation across a large, evolving Swift and Objective-C codebase.
• Adopt the latest iOS capabilities, hardware features, and platform technologies.
• Improve mobile performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Partner closely with product, design, and data science.

Requirements

• 3+ years leading the design and delivery of mobile features at scale.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Swift and Objective-C.
• Experience with modern iOS architecture, including Swift Concurrency, SwiftUI/UIKit interoperability, and modularization.
• Experience working safely in very large codebases with many contributors, including instrumentation and build-time optimization.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to make decisions under ambiguity.
