Senior Software Development Engineer, Post Submit Experience (Fintech)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid role with onsite attendance required Tuesday through Thursday each week, with additional office attendance possible based on business needs.

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 starting base salary per year, plus equity and other compensation components.

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and architecture of complex systems supporting post-transaction customer experiences at scale.
• Write and review production-quality code across the full software development lifecycle.
• Break down ambiguous technical challenges into actionable solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and promote learning through technical guidance and constructive code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, data, and design partners to deliver scalable solutions for a global customer base.
• Improve observability, incident response, reliability, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 or more years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and building distributed, large-scale backend systems using service-oriented or microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or another modern programming language.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including managed services, infrastructure as code, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.
