Structures Representative (Civil Engineering)

Location: San Francisco, California; primarily an outdoor field role involving construction sites and occasional operation of a company vehicle.

Salary: $110,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical oversight of bridge, retaining wall, and other structure construction projects.
• Review and accept contractor submittals related to structures, including falsework, excavation shoring, prestressing, and driven and CIDH piles.
• Oversee construction inspectors and provide quality assurance for structural work.
• Develop bridge deck, soffit, and column elevations and perform structures-related surveying, including bridge deck grading.
• Coordinate with contractors, construction inspectors, the Resident Engineer, design engineers, and materials testers.
• Maintain construction activity records, project progress documentation, technical reports, and guidance for inspectors.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 10 years of building construction management experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to work in an outdoor field environment with exposure to weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and other physical activities, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 pounds.
