Engineer (Civil Construction)

Location: Richmond, VA, with work in the Richmond, Williamsburg, and Hampton areas; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 base annually.

What you will do

• Collect daily quantities and tickets from self-perform crews and subcontractors.
• Sort, code, file, and transmit tickets to the owner or general contractor.
• Prepare daily cost and revenue reports for project tracking.
• Review foreman timecards for accurate cost coding, quantities, labor, and equipment hours.
• Administer subcontracts, review payment requests, and coordinate subcontractor work in the field.
• Assist with change orders, requests for information, contract submittals, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• General understanding of the heavy highway and civil construction industry.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related computer programs.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; willingness to learn new skills and develop professionally.
• Must be at least 18 years old, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening, and be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
