D365 F&O Localisation Lead Consultant

Location: Remote, Europe; Spain is specifically listed. Candidates must be comfortable working across time zones with the Australian project team, including occasional adjusted hours and potential travel to Australia for approximately 1–2 weeks at project start.

What you will do

• Configure and deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations localisation for European entities.
• Support country-specific functionality for Spain, Switzerland, and Italy, including SII, VAT reporting, Swiss VAT, SDI, and electronic invoicing.
• Translate statutory and tax requirements from external compliance advisors into practical D365 configuration.
• Partner with data migration teams to extract, map, load, and validate tax-related master and transactional data.
• Prepare and execute localisation-specific UAT scenarios, investigate defects, and support go-live and cutover.
• Document the solution, transfer knowledge to local finance and BAU support teams, and provide potential post-go-live hypercare.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and D365 Finance configuration.
• Proven experience delivering D365 F&O implementations, rollouts, or localisation projects.
• Hands-on localisation experience in at least two of Spain, Switzerland, and Italy, or deep demonstrable expertise in one of these areas.
• Experience with data migration, tax/localisation data validation, UAT, defect resolution, and go-live activities.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills, with the ability to work independently on a short, time-bound project.
• Professional working proficiency in English and flexibility to coordinate with Australian business hours are required.

Nice to have

• Additional D365 localisation experience in Nordic, Benelux, or French markets.
• Experience working with external tax and compliance advisors such as PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG.
• Post-go-live hypercare experience.
• Italian, Spanish, German, or French language capability.
