Focus on prioritizing critical events, guiding security personnel during emergencies, and maintaining reliable communication with hospital leadership and emergency services.
Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois, United States; full-time onsite. Schedule: 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Friday through Tuesday, 40 hours per week, with holiday requirements.
Salary: USD 24.29–38.67 per hour

What you will do
- Receive, assess, and prioritize calls, emails, alarms, and security alerts.
- Dispatch security personnel and coordinate responses to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other physical security technologies.
- Document incidents, responses, and actions accurately in incident management or computer-aided dispatch systems.
- Communicate critical updates to security teams, hospital leadership, emergency services, and other stakeholders.
- Escalate high-priority incidents and coordinate with vendors or internal support on security hardware and software issues.
Requirements
- High-school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion and maintenance of IAHSS Basic certification, with the exam completed within 90 days of hire.
- Strong communication, writing, attention-to-detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, sit for extended periods, and operate computer equipment.
- Familiarity with physical security procedures and technologies, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 onsite security operation.
Nice to have
- Previous security dispatching or similar experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree.
- Valid driver’s license.
