Safety, Health & Hygiene Specialist

Location: Cairo, Egypt; onsite at the Cairo site

What you will do

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, Safety, and sustainability programs across the Cairo site.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, hirify.global HSE standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Egyptian laws, and applicable process safety requirements.
• Identify hazards, assess operational and process safety risks, and implement effective controls and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and compliance deviations; identify root causes and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Represent HSE in site projects and upgrades, advising project teams and managing HSE requirements for contractors.
• Coordinate HSE training, emergency drills, emergency response activities, inspections, permit-to-work processes, and contractor controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of industrial HSE experience.
• Experience supporting environmental, occupational health, safety, risk management, and process safety programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, quality, project teams, and contractors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take initiative, make decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to work onsite at the Cairo site in Egypt.
