Account Manager, Commercial Lines (Insurance)

What you will do

• Manage policy maintenance and day-to-day service for assigned commercial insurance accounts.
• Review client exposures and insurance programs with client advisors, evaluating coverage, protection, carrier fit, and cost.
• Market accounts, obtain quotes, and prepare insurance proposals focused on risk management.
• Handle initial claims reports, monitor claim progress, and follow up with carriers on endorsements and other obligations.
• Support renewals, retention, account rounding, referrals, and additional commercial or personal lines opportunities.
• Coach junior commercial lines staff and contribute to team meetings and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of commercial insurance experience, or a recognized equivalent.
• Current state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Strong communication, accounting or mathematical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of agency management systems is required, with Applied Epic considered an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete continuing education and maintain professional insurance designations such as CISR Elite or CIC.
