Construction Inspector (Fiber Broadband)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota — onsite

Salary: $28–$30 per hour on W-2

What you will do

• Monitor and inspect underground and aerial utility construction projects.
• Verify compliance with manhole, conduit, outside plant safety, and quality standards, including GO95 and GO128 where applicable.
• Interpret engineering work prints and right-of-way documents.
• Track project status in databases and workgroups, and prepare work requests.
• Verify change orders and invoices, then review project documentation for completeness before final closeout.
• Apply fiber broadband installation, testing, troubleshooting, damage restoration, and fault-isolation procedures.

Requirements

• Experience inspecting utility construction projects.
• Knowledge of fiber broadband FTTP installation techniques and ONT/Wi-Fi activation quality standards.
• Knowledge of GPON and XGS testing and turn-up requirements.
• Knowledge of BSW placement standards and fiber feeder and distribution fault isolation.
• Ability to use email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
