Lead Product Planner (FPGA)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; Shift 1, United States of America; onsite role.

Salary: $166,900–$241,675 USD annually for the Bay Area, California.

What you will do

• Lead definition and planning activities for next-generation FPGA devices and product families.
• Own product roadmaps, including prioritization, customer validation, and internal and external roadmap communication.
• Lead cross-functional teams of Planners, Architects, Engineering, Marketing, and Applications Engineering from product concept through mass production.
• Establish and maintain the Plan of Record and represent Product Planning in leadership forums.
• Gather system architecture, customer, and business requirements and synthesize them into Product Requirements Documents.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders and partners to incorporate customer requirements into product definitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in hardware design, product planning or management, customer support, or technical marketing.
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor development and manufacturing, including FPGA, ASIC/ASSP, or processor products.
• 8+ years of experience interacting with customers.
• Strong knowledge of business and technical challenges, vertical markets, FPGA solutions, analytical problem-solving, and stakeholder communication.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of total experience in semiconductors or a related FPGA, ASIC, SoC, or hardware role.
• Knowledge of FPGA architecture and FPGA development methodology.
• Experience architecting FPGA-based solutions for end-market applications.
• A track record of driving successful innovative products, influencing product strategy, and leading cross-functional teams.
