What you will do

• Develop and perform laboratory procedures using established or modified protocols.
• Independently execute, troubleshoot, and optimize complex research experiments.
• Implement established protocols and identify anomalies in experimental data.
• Monitor current literature and trends in genomic research.
• Record experimental procedures and data accurately.
• Prepare and communicate results for posters, presentations, publications, and research reports.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior research staff and trainees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific area is required.
• At least 5 years of research experience is required; 3+ years is required with a master’s degree, while no prior experience is required with a PhD.
• Hands-on experience with single-cell genomics, including experimental design, sample preparation, data generation, or analysis.
• Experience with cell culture techniques, cell-based assays, and CRISPR gene editing.
• Strong knowledge of the principles underlying the laboratory techniques being performed.
• Strong scientific communication, organization, documentation, data management, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with R&D methods and processes in a laboratory setting.
• Experience executing research projects for a laboratory.
• Proven performance in an earlier comparable role.
