Certified Residential Appraiser (Mortgage Valuation)

Location: Remote within the continental United States; the posting lists USA, Florida, and remote work. The role includes on-site property assessments within assigned market areas.

What you will do

• Assess residential market areas, property data, comparable sales, neighborhood trends, and other factors affecting value.
• Develop unbiased property value estimates in line with government, company, regulatory, and client guidelines.
• Document on-site assessments with photographs, measurements, demographic information, and land diagrams.
• Generate fee quotes and present evaluations to buyers, sellers, investors, creditors, leasing professionals, and real estate agents.
• Partner with the Lead Appraiser to resolve requests and recommend process improvements that reduce addendums and quality-control rejections.
• Meet department turnaround expectations and escalate issues when deadlines cannot be met.

Requirements

• Active appraiser license or certification required by the applicable state regulatory agency.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 0–1 years of related experience with a mortgage or appraisal company.
• Ability to work within varying client-driven deadlines in a fast-paced, accurate environment.
• Strong analytical, narrative writing, communication, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to analyze data, draw sound conclusions, summarize results, and manage multiple assignments.

Nice to have

• REO appraisal experience.
• HUD/FHA experience.
