TL;DR
Valuer (Property Valuation): Expanding valuation services across Mainland China and delivering significant property, infrastructure, plant, and equipment valuation engagements, predominantly for insurance purposes, with an accent on client relationships, business development, and technical quality assurance. Focus on overseeing complex valuation projects, developing project methodologies, advising clients, and driving growth across China and Asia.
Location: Beijing or Shanghai, China. Hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office, with national and international travel.

What you will do
- Drive the growth of valuation services across Mainland China and represent the business internally and externally.
- Undertake and oversee significant valuations of property, infrastructure, plant, and equipment assets, predominantly for insurance purposes.
- Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to support business growth and expand the client portfolio.
- Develop business development approaches and proposals, demonstrating strong commercial awareness.
- Advise clients on project approaches, methodologies, and tools for valuation programs.
- Provide quality assurance and technical review oversight across project deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience performing valuations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
- Membership or eligibility for professional bodies such as CIREA or CAS.
- Financial management experience and general business acumen.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, identify opportunities, and convert them into business growth.
- English and Mandarin language skills, with availability to travel nationally and internationally.
Nice to have
- Experience with insurance valuations.
