Maintenance Technician I (Facilities & Equipment)

Location: Onsite in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Schedule: B Shift, Thursday–Saturday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., plus every other Wednesday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Pay: $30.25 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Diagnose equipment failures and perform complex emergency, unscheduled, and preventive repairs.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain distribution-center facilities and production equipment to OEM standards.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Read equipment manuals, work orders, electrical schematics, and technical prints.
• Operate forklifts, order selectors, pallet jacks, floor sweepers, and other motorized equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment documentation, follow safety regulations, and keep the work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of technician experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or equivalent directly related education.
• Understanding of facility electrical wiring, power distribution, mechanical applications, and AC/DC control wiring.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and interpret electrical schematics.
• Basic understanding of PLCs and knowledge of servo, hydraulic, and pneumatically actuated equipment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with INFOR-EAM or a comparable maintenance management system is preferred.
