Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Salary: $117,600–$206,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Lead the technical design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-level healthcare data, analytics, application, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Own delivery from discovery and solution design through development, deployment, validation, and production transition.
• Define reusable architecture patterns, development frameworks, code libraries, integration standards, and engineering practices.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, observable, and aligned with technology, data governance, and architecture standards.
• Partner with client leaders, analysts, engineers, clinicians, and business teams to translate healthcare challenges into technical strategies.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical standards, experimentation frameworks, and agentic development approaches.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of relevant experience and experience leading architecture and delivery of complex, multi-component technical solutions.
• Experience with healthcare data, healthcare analytics, or healthcare technology.
• Advanced SQL expertise and experience with modern cloud-based data and application platforms, including Databricks.
• Experience integrating data platforms, APIs, application layers, visualization tools, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, application integration, security-by-design, source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong consultative, communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills; a relevant degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development, large language models, agentic workflows, or related AI technologies.
• Experience rapidly prototyping solutions and transitioning them into scalable implementations.
• Knowledge of hirify.global data, analytics products, or the Clinical Data Base.
