Failure Analysis Intern - Bachelor's/Master's Degree

What you will do

• Learn and operate failure analysis tools, including optical and IR microscopes, SAM, and curve tracers.
• Support RMA failure analysis through collaboration with cross-functional teams and contribute to 8D report writing.
• Build a reference profile database using SAM analysis.
• Learn the GDS-to-Avalon layout conversion process and help automate the workflow.
• Build and optimize failure analysis dashboards.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience with failure analysis tools such as optical microscopes or SAM.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Strong collaboration skills, self-motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn hands-on failure analysis techniques.
• Must be eligible to access technology and software subject to U.S. export control laws. Applicants may be subject to an export license review process.

Nice to have

• Basic scripting skills, including AI-assisted scripting.
• Prior hands-on laboratory experience.
