AI-Assisted Foundation IP Development Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Support circuit design, SPICE and Monte Carlo simulations, and layout of standard cells.
• Perform placement, routing, and DRC/LVS cleanup for foundation IP.
• Characterize standard cells for timing, power, and noise across PVT corners.
• Run characterization flows using tools such as Liberate.
• Analyze characterization data with Python, pandas, and scikit-learn to identify trends and outliers.
• Build predictive models, debug simulation mismatches, and document findings for the IP team.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS in EE, CE, Microelectronics, or a related field as a rising junior or senior.
• Coursework in digital logic, analog, AI/ML, data science, VLSI, or semiconductor devices.
• Basic understanding of circuit design and IC layout concepts, including DRC/LVS.
• Working knowledge of Python and basic machine learning concepts such as regression and clustering.
• Comfort working with large datasets.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Virtuoso, Calibre, Liberate, or Tempus.
• A class project applying machine learning to engineering or scientific data.
• Interest in low-power IP for edge AI and IoT.
