Process Engineer (Polyimide Manufacturing)

Location: 100% onsite in Parlin, New Jersey; daily commutable distance preferred

What you will do

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot Polyimide manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Monitor process performance and drive corrective actions to improve safety, quality, yield, throughput, and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process capability, defect reduction, reliability, and operational performance.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data using statistical methods and advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support digital manufacturing initiatives through dashboards, KPIs, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in chemical, semiconductor, electronic materials, specialty chemicals, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience supporting production manufacturing processes and applying chemical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, Statistical Process Control, and process capability analysis.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Work onsite in Parlin, New Jersey; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with batch manufacturing, Process Analytical Technology, MES, SCADA, or automated process control systems.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, Minitab, JMP, AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced process modeling.
