Electrician Helper - General Construction

Location: East Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite substation construction work with job-site reporting, outdoor duties, shift work, possible Saturday work, four ten-hour workweeks, overtime, emergency response, and work outside the assigned district as required.

Salary: $34.15 per hour, progressing in accordance with the union contract.

What you will do

• Support substation construction and electrical installation work.
• Perform assigned construction duties at job sites and work outside the assigned district when required.
• Work scheduled shifts, including possible Saturdays, overtime, and emergency assignments.
• Work safely outdoors and in inclement weather.
• Respond to emergency restoration situations outside normal responsibilities, hours, or location when assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrician license or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain both.
• Ability to pass the CAST Test.
• Availability for overtime, emergency work, shift work, and outdoor construction duties.
• Immigration-related visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring sponsorship to begin employment will not be considered.
