Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote; listed locations include Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and Uruguay. The role also states that work is available from anywhere.

Salary: USD $85,000–$125,000 annual base.

What you will do

• Lead product initiatives from problem framing and technical approach through production release and post-launch metric review.
• Design architecture, data models, integrations, rollout plans, observability, and rollback strategies.
• Direct AI coding agents and establish prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review workflows for production-ready code.
• Partner daily with product managers and designers and collaborate with engineering peers in a shared codebase.
• Own initiative outcomes, including conversion, retention, funnel, or unit-economics metrics.
• Maintain high standards for correctness, security, performance, observability, and customer and provider experience.

Requirements

• Production experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent.
• Experience operating at a lead or staff-level bar, making technical decisions and owning delivery outcomes.
• Strong product-engineering judgment and the ability to work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Deep skill in at least one relevant stack, including PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/React/React Native, data, or infrastructure technologies.
• Experience building prompts, evals, tests, agent workflows, and review processes for safe implementation.
• Strong ownership of customer and provider outcomes in a live marketplace.
