Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; flexible hybrid or remote work environment.

What you will do

• Turn customer and business problems into prototypes and production-ready product features.
• Use AI agents and tooling to design, build, test, and ship software while validating generated output.
• Make product decisions, prioritize opportunities, and define when a feature is ready to ship.
• Set up evaluations and monitoring to measure whether released features work effectively.
• Collaborate directly with customers, support, and the product team to identify high-impact improvements.

Requirements

• Approximately 1–2 or more years of experience and a solid technical foundation in software systems, data flow, and debugging.
• Demonstrated experience building and shipping products or features through side projects, internships, employment, or hackathons.
• Experience working in a team, receiving and giving feedback, and reviewing work.
• Strong early-career product sense, ownership, curiosity, and willingness to ship iteratively.
• Regular use of AI and agents as development tools, with the ability to review and validate their output.

Nice to have

• Experience at a SaaS or product company.
• Independently built side projects or small products used by real people.
• Hands-on experience with evaluations, inference costs, hallucinations, or other model failure modes.
