2027 Co-op: Substation Design Engineering

What you will do

• Support design engineers with electrical substation project design packages.
• Prepare minor equipment layouts, review drawings, and complete material takeoffs.
• Order project materials using procurement software.
• Track and complete as-built documentation.
• Perform voltage-drop calculations for power systems and assist with station battery sizing.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other co-op students on transmission and distribution projects.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in Westwood, Massachusetts.
• Enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. engineering program related to electrical or energy engineering; M.S. candidates must have an electrical engineering undergraduate degree.
• Interest in energy delivery networks and/or renewable energy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, contribute ideas, learn quickly, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
