Quality Assurance Process Technician

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY

Salary: $36.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Facilitate the Corrective Action Review Board and drive structured resolution of process and component problems.
• Lead root-cause investigations using 8D methodology and Lean tools, including Tiered Management, Andon, and MRB/CARB processes.
• Design, execute, and support experiments across machining, assembly, and test to verify causes and corrective solutions.
• Perform complex inspections and measurements to assess conformity, feature variation, and performance impact.
• Audit processes and systems for capability, operator variation, training effectiveness, and procedural compliance.
• Document corrective actions and facilitate cross-functional problem-solving meetings, CAPA reviews, and decision sessions.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with machining, assembly, and testing of electromechanical products.
• Experience with complex inspection, audits, and cross-functional problem solving.
• Knowledge of structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, basic DOE, process capability analysis, control charts, and audit techniques.
• Experience with metrology, detailed part inspection, GD&T interpretation, and advanced measuring equipment.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Electrical Technology training or experience.
• Formal Six Sigma training, preferably Green Belt.
• AS9102 First Article Inspection experience.
