Senior IT Project Manager

What you will do

• Lead large-scale strategic technology projects and programs from initiation through closeout.
• Manage executive stakeholder engagement, project health reporting, and sponsor meetings.
• Coordinate product owners, development leaders, business stakeholders, and vendors on release scope and expectations.
• Establish governance frameworks, work intake processes, and operational procedures.
• Develop project plans, staffing strategies, budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Monitor quality, scope, risks, and issues while escalating appropriately and ensuring methodological alignment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working effectively within matrix organizations.
• At least 5 years of experience applying project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• At least 5 years of experience with system development methodologies for new systems and enhancements to existing information systems.
• At least 5 years of experience resolving complex conflicts, managing stakeholder relationships, and addressing competing requirements.
• Experience communicating stakeholder needs, building consensus, facilitating working sessions, and negotiating outcomes across teams.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments while building governance and operational processes.

Nice to have

• Experience in a government or public sector environment.
• Experience in multiple project or program leadership roles, such as Project Manager, Program Manager, or Project Coordinator.
