DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Fully remote within the United States; must reside and work in the U.S. and support Eastern Time working hours. Foreign locations and foreign IP addresses are blocked.

Salary: $98,614–$167,644 annually.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and monitor CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins, including artifact management with tools such as Nexus.
• Support automated deployments and environment promotion for COTS and low-code applications from development through production.
• Implement automated quality gates, regression testing, static analysis, security scanning, and compliance checks.
• Support AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure, including GovCloud, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or platform-native tooling.
• Maintain monitoring, log aggregation, alerting, performance testing, backup and recovery operations, and assist with troubleshooting and incident response.
• Document configurations and security controls for audits, ATO activities, and continuous monitoring while collaborating in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and residence in the United States are required; work must be performed in the United States.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable federal agency background investigation or suitability determination.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or cybersecurity.
• Experience or familiarity with CI/CD, cloud platforms, Linux and Windows Server, scripting, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and DevSecOps tooling.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, or other federal security standards.
• Availability to support U.S. Eastern Time working hours.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Active federal security clearance or a prior favorable federal background investigation.
• Experience with Splunk, Appian, Salesforce, ServiceNow, relational databases, or regulated and government environments.
• Certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or Security+.
