Principal Commercial Strategy & Operations Manager - Services (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California; Atlanta, Georgia; New York, New York; or San Diego, California, United States

Base pay: $197,000–$266,000 per year in Mountain View. The position may also be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set commercial priorities and establish initiatives that drive growth across Services.
• Own quarterly and annual planning, including investment decisions, tradeoffs, sequencing, and scenario development.
• Analyze commercial channel performance, market trends, operational metrics, and KPI developments.
• Use AI and automation to accelerate analysis and automate recurring reporting.
• Prepare executive-ready recommendations, presentations, narratives, and AI-supported decision artifacts.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Analytics from conception through execution.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in business or commercial operations, strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, or corporate development.
• Experience leading multi-year strategy and planning, annual planning, scenario development, and operating priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis, financial modeling, and KPI trend analysis.
• Experience running operating systems and business reviews, managing initiative portfolios, and driving accountability.
• Ability to influence cross-functional leaders without direct authority and communicate effectively with executives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.

Nice to have

• SaaS or FinTech experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, low-code tools, or agentic tooling such as Claude Code and Cursor.
• Experience using GenAI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or NotebookLM across business workflows.
