Information Security Co-op (AI/Cybersecurity)

Location: Boston; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work

Hourly pay: $21.00–$25.00

What you will do

• Support security monitoring, investigations, incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Participate in security assessments, control reviews, risk management, audits, and compliance activities.
• Maintain security policies, standards, procedures, control documentation, dashboards, metrics, and reports.
• Support security engineering initiatives involving cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint security, data protection, and monitoring technologies.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and AI-enabled security risks.
• Automate repetitive security tasks and explore approved generative AI and data-driven techniques with human oversight.

Requirements

• Undergraduate enrollment in a cybersecurity, information security, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related co-op program.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Availability for a six-month commitment from January 13 through June 25, 2027, working Monday through Friday for 35–40 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Exposure to security operations, vulnerability management, cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, and SaaS, and networking fundamentals.
• Exposure to Active Directory, identity management, Windows, Linux, PowerShell, or Python.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, generative AI, machine learning, prompt engineering, AI governance, NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
