Senior Frontend Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Based at the Santa Clara, California office with the option to work remotely a few days per week. Travel up to 15%, domestic or international. U.S. Person status, an applicable export-control license, or a license exception may be required for access to export-controlled technology and government-contract work.

Base salary: $124,000–$186,000 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and build responsive, accessible interfaces for the Quantum Security platform using React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
• Translate network security concepts such as topology maps, risk scores, policy rules, alerts, and remediation steps into clear visual workflows.
• Own UX for onboarding, network and device discovery, dashboards, investigations, reporting, and other key workflows.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma or similar tools, then validate them through user feedback and usability testing.
• Collaborate with backend, QA, Solutions Testing, product, and customer-facing teams to define APIs and validate real-world network scenarios.
• Shape frontend architecture, design systems, performance practices, accessibility, coding standards, and mentoring for junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, UI/UX engineer, or product designer with strong coding skills; 8+ years is also referenced in the posting.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and a component-based framework; React is preferred, while Vue and Angular are acceptable.
• Experience making frontend architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and designing interfaces for complex, data-heavy products.
• Strong UX skills covering information architecture, interaction design, visual hierarchy, and design-to-code work demonstrated in a portfolio.
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD; REST APIs; responsive design; WCAG accessibility; and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to conduct or support usability testing and convert findings into design and engineering improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience with network security, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure SaaS, or similar technical products.
• Familiarity with D3, Recharts, Cytoscape, or other data visualization libraries for topology and graph-based data.
• Understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts such as VLANs, routing, and ACLs.
• Experience with large-scale design systems, component libraries, CI/CD, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
