Junior Planner

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States. This is an in-office role; occasional remote work may be available when needed. hirify.global will not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

What you will do

• Develop detailed project schedules using standard coding, work breakdown structures, logic diagrams, and network models.
• Define project activities, sequence work packages, estimate durations, and establish critical paths and total project duration.
• Prepare Level 1, 2, and 3 schedules, schedule development plans, and bases of schedule.
• Control schedules by analyzing planned value, earned value, variances, performance indices, and schedule risks.
• Update schedules against project baselines, prepare management reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support change management by identifying schedule deviations and impacts, and coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams.

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with little or no professional experience and relevant skills.
• Preferred bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; an official or unofficial transcript must be submitted.
• Knowledge of engineering and business fundamentals, strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, coordination, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and work collaboratively on engineering projects.

Nice to have

• Understanding of EPCM industry practices and planning procedures.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, logic diagrams, critical path networks, bar charts, and detailed construction schedules.
• Familiarity with resource allocation, leveling techniques, and earned value analysis.
• Previous co-op or internship experience.
