Branch Manager (Welding Equipment Rental)

Location: Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada; responsibilities may also cover a satellite branch in Chicoutimi.

What you will do

• Manage branch and fleet resources to support profitability, operational efficiency, and high-quality rental equipment turnover.
• Maintain organized inventory of equipment, parts, and accessories, conduct inventory audits, and supervise fleet transfers.
• Deliver strong customer service and promote sales of used equipment.
• Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate branch employees while addressing performance issues.
• Approve purchase orders and invoices, manage receivables and cash flow, and participate in annual budgeting.
• Maintain safety, security, SOX, government regulatory, and operational policy compliance; lead daily production and weekly sales operations meetings.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education equivalent to one year of business administration study, or relevant equivalent experience.
• More than five years of professional experience in a relevant field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong management, interpersonal, customer service, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations, manage competing priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively with employees, customers, managers, and leadership.
• Ability to use computer equipment and maintain a strong focus on safety and personal responsibility.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of positioning equipment, welding techniques, and related equipment.
• Training in equipment repair and maintenance.
