Staff Accountant I (Accounts Receivable)

Location: Urbandale, Iowa, United States

Salary: $22–$25 per hour on W-2, without benefits

What you will do

• Collect past-due invoices from clients under general supervision.
• Maintain client relationships while resolving outstanding receivables.
• Collaborate with Cash Application, onshore colleagues, and offshore Collections teams.
• Develop, implement, and document improvements to collections and reporting procedures.
• Analyze past-due trends, payment risks, and root causes of non-payment.
• Support compliance with corporate policies and SOX procedures.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in collections, finance, or a related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Previous experience with reporting and project work.
