Accounts Receivable Specialist (Finance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Deerfield, Illinois, USA

Salary: $22–$25 per hour, plus eligibility for an annual incentive plan

What you will do

• Monitor weekly accounts receivable aging reports and identify overdue accounts.
• Contact current and past-due customers by phone and email to collect outstanding balances.
• Negotiate payment plans with management approval and send past-due invoices with proof of delivery.
• Process credit applications, perform credit checks, and manage customer payment records.
• Reconcile receivables daily, process credit memos, and manage deductions.
• Work with Sales to resolve invoicing discrepancies and communicate progress, needs, and challenges to the team and supervisor.

Requirements

• Two or more years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
• Good written and verbal command of English.
• Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills.
• Associate degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and willingness to follow safety and company policies.
