Research Data Expert (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; New York, United States; or Singapore

Base salary: USD 200,000–300,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain fully featurized datasets for statistical modeling research.
• Own a designated data domain and provide technical guidance on vendor and derived datasets.
• Manage the end-to-end pipeline from raw vendor data ingestion to refined, trading-ready feature sets.
• Analyze data to identify and improve alpha for automated trading strategies.
• Mentor junior data engineers and validate their code and data outputs.
• Design automated data quality checks, monitoring alerts, and support data issues during business hours.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python or R, and proficiency in data science methodologies.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a specific data domain, such as alternative data, fundamentals, security reference, or economic data.
• Proven track record of building alpha through detailed data analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Undergraduate degree in a STEM field.
• Ability to work in London, New York, or Singapore.
