Sales Manager (Defense)

What you will do

• Own the UK&I territory plan, including customer and programme mapping, budget lines, competitive analysis, prioritised pursuits, and paths to contract.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with ministries of defence, procurement agencies, service headquarters, and end-user commands.
• Shape customer requirements, acquisition routes, and budget placement before formal competition.
• Set pursuit priorities, maintain pipeline hygiene, forecast accurately, and carry the annual order intake target.
• Coordinate demonstrations, trials, exercises, and industry events with Marketing and the capture manager.
• Lead and grow the territory team.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience selling complex defence systems to state customers, primarily in UK&I.
• An existing senior-level network in the territory and ownership of at least one complete path to contract.
• Demonstrated experience influencing requirements or acquisition strategies before formal competition.
• Experience running captures with local industrial partners and knowledge of national procurement regulations, documentation, and local-content constraints.
• Track record of carrying and achieving order intake targets, plus line management experience or clear readiness for it.
• Native or fully professional command of at least one core territory language; eligible for national security clearance in the territory; willing to travel intensively across UK&I.
