Financial Analyst - Retail (Retail)

Location: Remote within one of the approved US states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin.

Salary: $66,000–$89,100 annually for the role in Goleta, California.

What you will do

• Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting by updating models, validating inputs, and maintaining assumptions and documentation.
• Prepare recurring financial, management, and performance reports for finance leadership.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying business drivers, trends, risks, and inconsistencies.
• Gather, analyze, and organize data to support business decisions and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and prepare reporting materials and variance explanations.
• Improve recurring processes, documentation, data accuracy, and basic automation to reduce manual effort.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar financial systems is preferred.
