DevSecOps Engineer (TS/SCI)

Location: Herndon, VA; work is required 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment. The role requires U.S. person status and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, or willingness to obtain a CI poly.

Salary: $165,000–$220,000–$242,000 annually, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Configure, monitor, and maintain private cloud infrastructure using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Create repeatable infrastructure provisioning and configuration automation with Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
• Build and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines using ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.
• Monitor, predict, update, and resolve issues across bare-metal operating systems and deployed applications.
• Manage ATO accreditation compliance through tuning, patching, and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile operations, software, and analytics teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and U.S. person eligibility are required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, or willingness to obtain a CI poly, is required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of professional technical support experience; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
• Professional DevSecOps experience, strong Linux skills, and experience deploying and maintaining open-source or custom applications.
• Experience working with geographically distributed operations and development teams and communicating technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF in Herndon, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting IC and DoD networks, military or intelligence systems, or TCPED systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS, web services, backend GIS, and government computing environments.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud and on-premises architecture, Red Hat, AWS, C2S, and OpenShift.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Accumulo, Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
• CompTIA Security+ or a comparable privileged-user security certification.
