IT Scrum Master (DoD)

Location: Onsite/hybrid at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, or Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Remote/telework is not available. Travel up to 10% may be required. No relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Partner with the Release Train Engineer to align the Scrum Master role with SAFe frameworks and Agile release trains.
• Design, implement, document, and train IT teams on customized Agile delivery processes.
• Facilitate collaboration across Huntsville and Colorado Springs teams using in-person and virtual practices.
• Support backlog maintenance, prioritization, user-story development, sprint planning, capacity tracking, velocity, and burn-down reporting.
• Identify and resolve impediments, manage cross-team dependencies, and coordinate enterprise upgrades and break/fix activities.
• Integrate IT service delivery and cybersecurity compliance tasks into Agile workflows while fostering continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must work onsite/hybrid in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL; remote work is not available.
• At least 4 years of general full-time experience and at least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager.
• Current Agile certification such as CSM, PSM I, or SAFe Scrum Master.
• Experience with Agile management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies to IT operations and facilitating remote or hybrid teams.
• Active DoW Secret clearance and ability to obtain an active DoW Top Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAFe in a DoD or government contracting environment.
• Technical experience in system administration, network engineering, or IT service management.
• Experience integrating ITIL change, incident, and problem management with Agile processes.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE.
• Knowledge of RMF, Secure Host Baselines, DISA STIGs, or advanced Agile certifications.
