Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Location: On-site in Brampton, Ontario, Canada

What you will do

• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost, and safety.
• Create and update method sheets, standard operating procedures, production standards, and electronic documentation.
• Create and maintain bills of materials and support engineering change notices.
• Assist with sourcing tooling, fixtures, and gauges, as well as machine setup, design activities, and new plant programming.
• Support Quality Assurance with supplier-related issues and contribute to Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related university or college program.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office applications and electronic data and documentation systems.
• Strong interest in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and engineering operations.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing support or shop-floor experience.
• Hands-on technical, machining, or manufacturing experience.
• Exposure to CNC programming or Mastercam.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, production standards, or continuous improvement processes.
