Digital Engineering – Requirements Engineering Co-Op (Spring 2027)

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts, United States; US citizenship required.

Salary: $20.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with eliciting functional and non-functional requirements and translating them into clear, verifiable specifications.
• Maintain requirement traceability matrices and connect requirements with architectural elements and test cases.
• Design, implement, test, analyze, and document engineering solutions.
• Generate technical reports with plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions based on analyzed test data.
• Support trade-space analysis and process improvement in model-driven engineering environments.
• Collaborate with lead engineers and interdisciplinary systems engineering, machine learning, and data science teams.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with scientific programming in Python.
• Experience translating mission objectives into detailed requirements and linking them to architecture and test cases.
• Ability to conduct trade-space analysis in a model-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Interest or knowledge in Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and Data Science.
• Familiarity with MagicDraw or other SysML tools.
• Exposure to trade-space exploration, data-state management, and multi-domain data architectures.
