Senior Cyber/E&O Facultative Underwriter (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York, NY or Warren, NJ office; travel required.

Salary: $119,000–$150,000 annually, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Manage and drive Cyber and E&O facultative reinsurance business, including A&E, miscellaneous professional liability, lawyers, agents and brokers, and real estate/title risks.
• Underwrite new and renewal business based on underwriting, claims, and financial data.
• Develop relationships with ceding company underwriters and reinsurance intermediaries while soliciting new business opportunities.
• Support production and marketing efforts and collaborate with claims, accounting, and other functional areas.
• Communicate competitive market factors and portfolio implications to underwriting teams and senior management.
• Work with minimal supervision and travel as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional liability underwriting experience with demonstrated subject matter expertise and strong industry contacts.
• BA/BS degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of the US insurance and reinsurance markets.
• Strong analytical and computer skills, including the ability to use data analytics and draw appropriate conclusions.
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, negotiation, prioritization, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with peers and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
