What you will do

• Lead the national strategy and growth of the public sector fiscal resiliency practice.
• Expand and commercialize solutions covering long-range financial planning, fiscal sustainability, revenue and expenditure strategies, financial policy, structural deficit analysis, and budget transformation.
• Build executive-level relationships with public sector leaders and originate complex advisory engagements.
• Lead strategic pursuits, proposals, presentations, partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, and retain fiscal advisory talent while building a scalable national delivery team.
• Establish practice goals, performance metrics, growth plans, and technology-enabled service offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, public policy, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience serving public sector clients through consulting, advisory services, public finance, municipal advisory, or government leadership.
• Proven success building and scaling a consulting practice, service line, or advisory business.
• Demonstrated ability to generate significant revenue growth and develop new business opportunities.
• Deep expertise in fiscal sustainability, long-range financial planning, public sector budgeting, strategic financial management, revenue analysis, fiscal policy, or municipal finance.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex advisory engagements, with strong executive communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a regional or national consulting practice.
• An established network among public sector decision-makers.
• Involvement in GFOA, ICMA, NLC, state municipal leagues, or related organizations.
• Experience developing proprietary methodologies, market-facing offerings, or subscription-based advisory solutions.
• Graduate degree.
