Collections Strategy Analyst (Fintech)

Location: United Kingdom; hybrid working with office attendance on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote working on Tuesday and Friday.

What you will do

• Analyse the end-to-end collections lifecycle, including early arrears, later-stage collections, external partners, and recoveries.
• Identify opportunities to improve collections strategy, customer treatment, segmentation, allocation, and recovery outcomes.
• Monitor roll rates, cure rates, liquidation, recoveries, placements, payment performance, targets, and customer outcomes.
• Use SQL to extract, analyse, and summarise data for strategy development and decision-making.
• Analyse DCA and Debt Purchaser placements, performance, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Collections, Credit Risk, Operations, Data, and other stakeholders to turn insights into practical actions.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data.
• Good SQL skills, including querying, manipulating, and summarising data.
• Exposure to collections, arrears management, recoveries, or credit risk analytics.
• Ability to interpret analysis, identify opportunities, and communicate findings clearly.
• Understanding of fair customer outcomes and regulatory expectations in a collections environment.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with stakeholders across different teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker or a similar BI and reporting tool.
• Understanding of BNPL, consumer credit, lending, or payments.
• Experience with segmentation, customer treatment strategies, operational performance analysis, or contact strategy.
• Experience analysing DCA or Debt Purchaser performance.
